    We visited FIDA in October 2024 and were delighted to see the profound impact of their work. With minimal administrative costs, FIDA impacts the lives of countless Ethiopians struggling to survive, and provides educational opportunities to young children who would otherwise have no chance.     Yemen is facing one of the largest humanitarian crises of our time. The IRC provides lifesaving emergency aid, clean water, education, women’s protection and medical care to millions of people in Yemen affected by violent conflict and a growing health crisis

FIDA ETHIOPIA

SUPPORT FOR WOMEN IN ETHIOPIA.

T​he mission of FIDA (Friendship for Integrated Development Association) is to support vulnerable children, adolescents and women in Ethiopia, to improve their livelihood and enable them to be self-supporting with greater control over their lives through the promotion of participatory and sustainable development programs. Thanks to fundraising efforts by the California Browncoats, One Love Fund was able to match funds and contribute a total of $5000 to fund a W​omen’s Empowerment​ ​program, which provides pathways to opportunities and woman-friendly conditions in the workplace, while improving the health and nutrition of mothers and their children, as well as their level of education. FIDA encourages the formation of new women's associations and the strengthening of existing associations so that women have a hand in the resolution of their problems. The results of this project are overwhelmingly positive.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR ARTISTS IN NEED

GiveDirectly is a nonprofit that lets donors like you send money directly to the world’s poorest households. They believe people living in poverty deserve the dignity to choose for themselves how best to improve their lives — cash enables that choice.

One Love Fund granted $4000 to one of the most comprehensive foundations providing full assistance to families, reuniting families and support partners on the border with critical needs. The grant provided 1533 pounds of food, 1160 16.9 ounce bottles of water, as well as flour, oil, condiments, paper goods as well as vitamin and herbal infused drink mixes, soup mixes and personal hygiene products.

Thanks to contributions via a portion of Alan Tudyk’s Cameos, we contributed $3800 to help families recover after the disastrous tornados in Mississippi. 100% of funds supported immediate relief efforts and long-term rebuilding in affected communities.

One Love Fund provided $1200 to underwrite a fundraiser, curated by Susan Krebs and Art Division, to benefit the Los Angeles Food Bank. The LAFood Bank Salon Benefit event (exploring the concept of) "ENOUGH" urged that we "shift and lift" ourselves by gathering together to do something for our neighbors while engaging in the salon's stimulating "high entertainment" -- and that now more than ever, we must take care of each other. The event raised enough funds to provide 13,200 meals!

One Love Fund believes that the Arts can postiively impact the world in immeasurable ways. Many talented young artists don’t have the opportunity to fulfil their dreams of developing their abilities in the arts due to lack of finances. One Love Fund sponsors the development of young artists in theater, granting scholarships to individuals to attend programs that will help them excel. Thanks to the support of individual donors and arts advocates, One Love Fund has contributed over $50,000 in scholarships to young artists in training.
